RMSC’s “Spice up Your Performance” mini-conference

Swallow Hill – May 15th!

Go to www.rmstory.org for details and to register.

Bill Harley will be conducting a two-hour workshop on “The Power of Story.” This promises to be a workshop that will excite and inspire all of us, from beginner to seasoned pro.

Workshops with award winning musician and Swallow Hill favorite Michael Stanwood, as well as Internationally known Pam Faro!

At this event, we want to spotlight the great talent and expertise within our community, so be sure and pick up a copy of “Sharing our Wisdom” — a booklet of tips, techniques, and inspirations written by members of the RMSC community. Booklets will be available for free at the event registration table!

Also, on the day of the event, look for our “Ask Me About __________” badges. Pick one up, fill in the blank, and let everyone know what area of storytelling you are excited to talk about that day!

Recording artists and authors, we will have a table in the lobby for you to sell your books and CDs. Contact Gwen at storycrafters@gmail.com for more details.

After the workshop, stay for an evening of storytelling with Bill Harley at Swallow Hill. Tickets for this concert are separate from the mini-conference price, and can be purchased at www.swallowhillmusic.org.

Spin me a yarn, a tale that is tall
With monsters and goblins and black cats and all;
Tell about pirates, with white sails unfurled––
Spin me the yarns of the world.
Weave me a story, tell me a tale;
Sing about heroes in quest of the Grail;
Tell about people, their love and their strife––
Weaving the fabric of life.
Find me a fable that shows me the way
To live in the world all around us today;
A story that teaches and touches the heart––
This is the yarnspinner’s art.
